Welcome Back to the 2025-2026 School Year!
Dear Families,
As we begin the 2025-2026 school year, I am excited to welcome back our returning students and eager to meet our newly admitted students. I am confident that it will be a great year ahead. Our goal is to ensure that each student grows academically, socially, and emotionally. P771K, Education with H.E.A.R.T, embodies our core values: High Expectations, Effort, Acceptance, Resilience, and Teamwork.
This year, we will continue with NYC Reads, providing all students access to evidence-based curricula such as HMH, Readtopia, and ReadtopiaGo. We have interventions in place to support individual growth, and we are also embarking on NYC Solves to enhance math skills. Your child will be supported by their teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and our community partners. We want all students to have real-world experiences that ignite their interest. I value vocational experiences and want to see our students follow their paths and become as independent as possible.
As a school leader, I value communication with parents and view you as partners in your child's learning. Our dedicated team—including teachers, Assistant Principals, Related Service Providers, and paraprofessionals—works collaboratively to serve our students and families. I am committed to providing the best education possible for each child, helping them develop the academic and social/emotional skills they need for independence. At P771K, we have reimagined the student experience to integrate vocational skills and life experiences into our instruction. I want your child to be eager to come to school each day in a safe and nurturing environment. Together, we will celebrate the many successes and accomplishments of our children.

Welcome back to School!
On Thursday, September 4, 2025, we will welcome students back to New York City public schools for the first day of the 2025–26 school year. Over the next year, our City's children will learn and grow together, academically and socially. This is an important journey, and we want to make sure students and families have the tools they'll need for a strong start and continued success this school year.
